AFTER CARE

EYELINER AFTERCARE

Remove contact lenses for the procedure and do not reinsert them until your eyes return to their pre-procedure state

Discontinue Li Lash, Latisse, etc until 2 weeks after your eyeliner is completed

We cannot connect upper and lower eyeliner as this area has tiny glands and veins, which may result in migration   (pigment moves to surrounding areas).

FOR THE FOLLOWING 10 DAYS, STAY OUT OF RIVERS, LAKES, POOLS, CHLORINATED POOLS AND HOT TUBS, GARDENS OR OTHER DIRTY AREAS! DO NOT EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUN FOR 10 DAYS. DO NOT TOUCH THE AREA WITH FINGERS!!!

Do not rub your eyes following an eyeliner procedure. To do so may cause corneal abrasion.

Swelling may cause eyeliner to appear thicker than it really is. If you wish to have eyeliner thicker, this may be done during the follow-up procedure in 6 weeks. There is additional charge for thicker eyeliner or cateyes. You may also need an additional touch-up, which is not included in the price.

Your eyes may be goopy and swollen for 24-48 hours. ICE as needed, applying the ice for 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off. Repeat as necessary.

Do not wear mascara or eye shadow for 5 days. Purchase a new mascara to use after healing is complete.

Apply the A&D ointment SPARINGLY 3 times a day for five days. Do not apply any ointments other than the ones I have given/recommended. Apply the ointment with a clean cotton swab, do not use fingers.

You may wash the area gently with a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil. Do not use soap or medicated face wash.

There may be some peeling, flaking or scabbing. It is imperative that you do not pick, dig, or scratch. To do so will cause pigment loss.

Do not allow shower spray to hit you directly in the face for a minimum of 5 days

Stay out of the sun while your procedure is healing. Direct exposure to tanning beds on the area, as well as direct sun should be avoided. Wear sunglasses when outside to protect your eyeliner from UV rays.

Some tenderness, puffiness, dryness, tightness and itching are normal during the healing process.

Avoid chlorinated pools and hot tubs for 2 weeks.

Avoid the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Glycolics such as Retin A or Renova around the procedure area. These products will fade your color.

It is normal for the procedure area to ooze fluid. This will be pinkish or the color of the pigment. It is normal for color to be on the cotton swab when you apply ointment. You are not wiping off the color. It is exfoliating and healing. Do not be aggressive as you apply the ointment.

Areas that appear lighter or darker than surrounding areas, on the first appointment, is considered normal. Adjustments are made during the follow-up procedure in 6 weeks.

The Red Cross will not accept blood donations for one year following a tattoo procedure.

If this is the first time you have had permanent makeup done, it is imperative that you get your follow up applied in a timely manner. I recommend that it be applied in approximately 6 weeks, however, life can be challenging at times, so I give a grace period of up to 3 months to get your touch-up. One touch-up is included in the price of your newly applied makeup. After that, touch-ups are offered at half price, provided they are done within 1-2 years. After two years may have an additional fee based on the condition of the remaining color.
